Out festival concert at All Saints in December marked the start of the holiday season for many, and what a way to start!
The Hereford Concert Band have enjoyed a restful few weeks but are back to rehearsing this week in preparation for our nest concert on Sunday, March 9th, 3:00pm – 5:00pm, Holy Trinity Church, Hereford.

Our fall concert was a delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It was wonderful to play to a good sized audience who were supportive and enthusiastic!
A big thank you to our very own Jane for Elephant’s Child and introducing the piece with style. We really enjoyed playing Jane’s piece and it was clear that the audience loved it too.
It was lovely having the St. Paul’s Choir joining us in the concert, and who knows, you may see us collaborating again in the future!

Our Spring Concert in Peterchurch was a great success! It featured our first collaboration with the Peterchurch Community Choir and The Wye Border Singers, as well as excellent performances by the combined choir.

Only two more rehearsals until we break up for the summer holidays. Rehearsals will start again on Wednesday, 6 September 2023.

Our memorial concert for Jane Godfrey was a great success. Beautiful words and memories were shared about Jane and her innumerable contributions she made to the band (and her other pursuits!) and the band played a variety of music inspired from her time with us.
We raised over £540 which will be divided equally between two charities that she supported, the NSPCC and the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust.

We had a fantastic time playing a range of festive tunes in December playing to a large and enthusiastic crowd at All Saint’s Church in the centre of Hereford; hopefully you were able to join us!
After a much enjoyed break we are back to our music stands on 4 January 2023, 7:30pm, at Saxon Hall – Putson Community Centre, Hoarwithy Road, Hereford HR2 6HE. We’ll be preparing for our next concert which is on Sunday , March 5th 2023 – 3:00pm, Hereford Sixth Form College, Hereford. You can find more info on our Concert Calendar page.
